I had a ring from my mother where the diamond cracked and i thought "WHAT THE HECK!!" but i guess it does happen. Totally sucks but thankfully its not lost and is fixable! That sucks. If it makes you feel better, one of the diamonds on the side of my engagement ring near the back fell our 5 days before the wedding! There was a noticeable hole and my husband was not pleased! I had to wait till after the honeymoon to get it fixed! I was just so glad it was in the back so no one really saw it! I felt very naked w/o my engagement ring when it was getting fixed tho! I’m so sorry about your ring, but at least it can be fixed!

Insurance is a great thing! My poor SIL lost one of the little diamonds in her engagement ring several times. They had it fixed and then the day after her wedding, there was another one missing! She ended up with entirely new wedding set because the ring had been discontinued. I've been lucky, the biggest issue I had was a loose prong! Oh no! Insurance is a great thing!
