In Limbo

The Good

Life is moving. We’re in limbo. But it’s not as bad as it sounds. Of course, spending only a few days before packing everything up and heading north again isn’t exactly my kind of party, seeing family and being able to see friends off before they headed over seas for various programs was super nice.

Not to mention autumn.

Next weekend? We’re going leaf peeping. And by that I mean, taking a trip up to Vermont to catch up with other friends, and family. Who doesn’t love autumn?! I mean, colors, hot chocolate, sweaters, and the smell of chimneys in the air screams for happiness.

The Bad

My graduate school application is stressing me out. I’m more than afraid that I won’t get in. There’s increasing conflict between certain family members and their opinions of our dog – which I will NOT get rid of. She’s our dog. We love her but knowing that things would be different if we didn’t have her, is frustrating and upsetting.

I miss my friends. Since before the wedding I’ve been out of touch. The craziness ensued and with our constant state of flux, I’m trying to fit everyone in before our next week long trip up there.

The Ugly

Hubs is incredibly worried about his job prospects up north. He’s smart, he’s got a good work ethic, so someone should hire him right? Right. But it’s stressful, worrysome, and all around not good. Not a great way to start off newlywededness but alas, sometimes you don’t get to pick the cards you’re dealt.

So, when life hands you lemons….make lemonade. Which is precisely what we’re trying to do.
