Blogher Day 1…

by Heidi on July 29, 2009

I think blog her day 1 can be summed in these three images and two videos.

video one. The Geico Gekko and Mrs. Potatohead dancing with some random lady to “baby got back” by Sir Mix-a-lot during cocktail hour karaoke. Watch the video. No further words necessary.

Mrs. Potatohead is a dancing queen….

Again. No further words necessary.

Aside from that? Highlights….

The Modern Gal and I making friends with the oversized Energizer Bunny at the Energize-Her party. With free bunny-tini-s (yum) and free massages (yay!) and free manis (even more yay!)

The Modern Gal, Vanessa, and myself and the always fabulously snarktastic Jenn Lancaster at the “Mommy Needs a Cocktail” party. Sidenote: there goes my idea for a mommy blog. You know when I actually have kids. I think “mommy wants a beer” is still available though. Because who said you couldn’t drink beer and be classy, right?

Finally….

You can’t see it well since the lighting was bad and the one thing the iPhone doesn’t have is a flash. But it’s not a chocolate fountain, it’s a strawberry fountain. Yeah, like strawberry nesquick. That’s the one. There was dark chocolate, milk chocolate and flippin’ STRAWBERRY! OMG, that and the pound cake was like a mother effing strawberry cupcake.

Someone strap me to an effing treadmill – it wasn’t that bad but I am off my a-game.

Stay tuned for the one where I fall in love with Chicago, all my favorite bloggers for realz while slapping butts, wearing McDonalds hats, and meeting Paula Deen. No, not all at the same time.
