Kiddies, I have some very exciting news for y’all.
I have two great new gigs blogging. For bling. For realzzzz.
One is writing for the DC Examiner, I’m the newest Budget Shopping Examiner. Perfect role for me, given how much I talk about shopping – right? Right. Today, I posted my first post! Tear, I’m becoming…dare I say… a real writer.
Second, is I’ve been kicking off the Gal’s Guide. Yes, the one started by the fabulous Blagica based in Chicago, is moving on to other cities and I volunteered to get started on the DC guide. If you don’t know what Gal’s Guide is, then check out the website. My first post should be up this afternoon or tonight, so be sure to check it out.
Thirdly, with all this writing, a few things have fallen by the wayside – this blog (whoops) mainly, but I’m getting back on track and well, learning to manage my time. You’d be surprised how time consuming it is following twitter, and tumblr and blogging, and maintaining a client. I’m definitely getting some primo time management skills here.
Oh yeah, and I’m hoping to start back at the gym sometime soon. Soon soon soon. Mama needs some new shoes.
Now that I’m 26, I’m looking to grow…grow into my consulting, grow into myself more, and grow into my soon to be marriage (less than 5 months!!! OMG!!!).
I saw this quote this morning on tumblr and it happens to perfectly reflect how life is going for me right now.
“Open yourself to a delicious new experience. New, after all, is what it’s all about these days.”- Oprah
Don’t be surprised by the ch-ch-changes that might take place around here – more DC centric news, and more shopping news. Wedding planning – when I see fit – otherwise be sure to check out DC Nearlyweds, but for the most part, I’m getting to be less personal around here just cause well…blogging is my job. Of course, there are still glimpses – you know. My style, my favorite things, and pictures. I will share the pictures of the fabulous birthday four of my favorite gals put on for me last week. Seriously, I am blessed to have found friends so awesome.
