I’ve always had a lot of respect for the Junior League gals, I considered joining a couple years ago and I don’t quite remember why I didn’t but it’s definitely an organization I would still consider in the future.
I was thrilled when a gal from the Junior League of Washington DC emailed me asking if I’d mind promoting an event of theirs on my blog also noting that she read my blog – I was beyond happy to oblige – good causes are always welcome here at Life in Pink! All proceeds benefit JLW’s community programs, grants, scholarships, and efforts to improve literacy in the DC area. And who doesn’t love supporting literacy??
Downtown Shop Around is an annual event put on by the Junior League, that begins Saturday April 25th and ends May 5th. Shoppers purchase a card for $30 that gives them 20% off their entire purchase at various Georgetown Retailers. Retailers include Sherman Pickey, National Jean Company, J. McLaughlin, Red Door Spas, Urban Chic, Sugar, and many more!
