That was an awesome post! I agree whole heartedly but I think this election showed how far we have to go for feminism’s sake. Like Sarah Palin or not you cannot deny the fact that a male in the same position would not have come under fire for hair and wardrobe decisions. She was behind before she ever opened her mouth because she is an attractive woman. She could have cured AIDS, cancer and fixed the economy all in one debate but I still doubt anyone would take her seriously. I just hate that a lot of these women who I know must have had to struggle to get where they are were they first ones to throw stones.

Great writing. I loved the quote about Obama hero-worship because really… it’s not like you can say Obama has done anything outstanding in this area. I believe McCain to have done more, so why not him?

This is an awesome entry. I love the Ms. cover, personally. And I think if Michelle Obama were asked if her husband is a feminist, her answer would be 100% positive.

I can’t help but point out that in the video “cover,” Naomi Wolf looks like she’s having, ahem, a Meg Ryan-type moment. I find that so amusing.

Oh, and: I’m a feminist!
