Delurking is Delightful

Howdy kiddos, it’s that time of year again – National Delurking Day (excuse me…Delurking WEEK!)

I want to do some sort of clever contest or “zomg ask me anything!” type of post but I’m not feelin’ it. I’m getting over my woe is me – you people are seriously the bomb diggity (all your comments, well most, were insanely helpful and appreciated!)

But while I attempt to stay sane where I am now, with wedding planning really ramping up (so much to write about! Will not become wedding blog, in fact, check out all my wedding related goodies over at DC Nearlyweds!), a job search in high gear as it has been for the past six months, and marathon training starting up in 1-2 weeks…life is busy. But I promise not to inflict too much of my woe is me whining on y’all. That’s not my style.

So Delurk! Tell me something about you. Are you in the DC area? No? How’d you find my blog? What do you like most/least about my blog? Anything you want to see featured on Life in Pink?

It’s all fair game!!! Just delurk!

    There’s a National Delurking Day, and week? I had no idea. It’s a good idea though, because I feel like us lurkers sometimes have a hard time getting into commenting other blogs. I guess this is the not-so-awkward ice breaker.

    I can’t remember exactly where I found your blog, but basically I initially added it to my reader because it had the word pink in the title. Because pink is awesome.

    Yes, I’m in the DC area as well. Alexandria. Although I used to live in Rosslyn before we bought a house here in 2001.

    Will you be downtown on January 20? If you are, maybe we could meet up. I’ll be the guy wearing a coat standing near the center of the Mall. I’m about 5-6 feet tall. You won’t be able to miss me. :)

    Nope, not in DC, but my uncle was stationed there once and took back a bunch of tape recordings of a DJ there on DC 101 called The Greaseman and we were in stitches for weeks.

    I loved those tapes. Hilarious comedy.

    then when I went to go look for his stuff online in the late 90′s, all the stuff I could find was offensive, vulgar and not-so-funny. I could not find ONE of the skits I had on tape that were so hilarious.

    We know we have the tapes packed away somewhere, and it seems nobody has it anywhere, so I’m sure if I found it, it’d be a gold mine or something.

    Delurking–that’s funny, yet so appropriate. I found your blog via galsguide.com and thought your blog name was cute so I clicked on the link to give it a whirl. I am not a blogger, though sometimes I feel like I would have a lot of good things to say.

    I live in Chicago and I’ve been reading your blog for a few months now. I love hearing about DC things that you write about because I interned out there while in college. I also really enjoy your themed days, ie “Wedding Wednesday” and “Pink Saturday” since well I love pink too–I just bought the “pink sandstone” Blackberry Pearl from AT&T.
