Happy last Monday before vacation kids! Seriously, I can not wait till Friday at noon. Not that I’m leaving at noon but Friday afternoon is our holiday party Not that I haven’t already unofficially been on vacation mentally for the past week already – I’m incredibly restless and eager to get out of this city. Being for Thanksgiving – despite the awesome company we had – was still lonely and made me miss my family. Despite the fact that we’re really only getting 2 1/2 days with each side of the family with 2 1/2 travel days thrown in for good measure, it’ll be nice to be north and experience some winter weather.
This week I’m looking at dresses. I recently picked out shoes for my Christmas Eve Mass outfit and for Christmas day. I’m pretty thrilled about both of them and think they’ll both be super cute with my new red shoes that have gotten me stopped multiple times walking throughout town. They’re “sassy” as I was told today.

From Vineyard Vines – except it’s not available anymore online! I’ll check the Woodbury Commons Outlet if we make it there over vacation which I’m hoping we will. But I’ve been swooning over this dress for a while unfortunately with my newfound love for budgeting (I say that with the utmost sarcasm), this dress doesn’t exactly fit in mine.
I recently saw this on Julia Allison’s blog – reblogged it on tumblr and then realized Target also had a Navy Version which might be more my style personally.
This dress from Forever 21 ($20) would be super cute with my red shoes and a black cardigan…for that price? it might be a Christmas must have. (though I’d probably make it festive with a green cardigan. I’ve been all about the red/green and black lately.
Fiancé keeps asking me what I want for Christmas – I keep telling him to check out my Monday Wants, it’s rumored that we might be getting our kitchen aid mixer from one set of parents, money towards the wedding from another and who knows what from my mother. Secretly, since he brought it up last week and after spending ample time playing with his, I hope he gets me an iPhone for Christmas. We’ll see though, seems unlikely as I’m not yet eligible for an upgrade with AT&T even though my blackberry that I’ve not yet had for a year yet doesn’t seem to be holding up well.
Expect this week to be recipe central – I baked a whole ton so I plan on being We Are Not Martha-like and posting some pics with some super easy holiday recipes (seriously…two out of three were microwavable. No lie). Tonight I plan on 1. cleaning the bedroom because currently? The floor is MIA. Additionally, I’m 3 days behind (and counting) on our Christmas cards. Need to finish those and get my SBS/sweet treat exchange packages out! Yikes! Leaving town seems to be sneaking up on us and there is much to do with…not much time to do it all in. Hrrrmph.
