Monday Wants – a day late

Sorry for the delay dear Freaders, I had intended on doing this last night but instead got lost in a sea of Christmas Cards, Gossip Girl, How I met your mother, Charlie Brown Christmas special and of course The Hills.

it was a busy night to say the least but I’m finally making headway in my battle vs. the Christmas cards. If you want one? Email me your address! I can’t promise you a photo one but I can promise A card (pending I have enough for everyone)

This week my wants are red shoes. I’m on the prowl for red shoes for Christmas Eve. I’m sure you remember the green ruffly sweater I wanted from Old Navy? Well I got that. Along with a White Ruffly shirt (to complete this look from ann taylor loft) with a black skirt and the only thing that could make it more Christmas-y for our Christmas Eve festivities is Red shoes of which I do not own a pair.

As I was perusing Nordstrom to see what they had – I found these gems…

$31 Nordstrom – now given I’ve been wearing a lot of black lately, they’d be so cute!!! (not related in anyway to my Christmas eve outfit but for $30?! Why not right??? I’m helping the economy!)

$20 Target My only qualm with these is I’m not sure how I feel about wearing open tod heels in Connecticut on Christmas Eve. That could be…cold.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

    I love love love the pink shoes. Peep toes are my favorite….have you ever only painted the toes that “peep” hahaha. I tried that once with the shoes on…it was disastrous…

    I have a pair of red shoes that I bought at Payless and I LOVE them. So much that I plan entire wardrobes just so I can wear them.

    They are open-toed. I live in Michigan where 9 months out of the year, it’s cold.

    I wear them all the time. I say, go for it. Wear stockings or tights and you’ll be slightly more winterish.

    omg I have the black tribecas in brown. LOVE THEM. They’re pretty comfortable; I wear them to work and back pretty regularly. Two thumbs way up.

    My general consensus on shoes like the last pair are that as long as there’s no precipitation on the ground, that small of a peep-toe is still okay (weather-tolerant-wise) to wear in winter. If there’s snow, though, I’m going close-toed!

    Those Steve Madden’s remind me of Carrie’s shoes on her “last” night out with Big in NYC (Season 4 Finale.) I watch too much SATC, clearly, but I now need those shoes :)

    I love, love, LOVE the Steve Madden shoes. If I could ever get away with wearing heels for my job, I would buy them in a heartbeat.
