Wedding Wednesday – November 19

by Heidi on November 19, 2008

Friends,

I’ve been neglecting wedding wednesday. You see, I’ve just been busy. A lot busy as one would say in improper english. A lot busy indeed.

But today, you’re in luck. I got my new Real Simple magazine and was skimming through it before I set out to make some cookies for the Church Bazarre this weekend that I need to drop off tomorrow, and wham bam thank you ma’am there they were. Right there on page 129.

Blue. With a big flower and open toed. Initially I didn’t want anything on the back of my heel as I worry about blisters but these are just…too beautiful to pass up.

From Seychellesfootwear.com

Now they’re a little out of my budget, but mom’s paying so I’m not on *AS* tight of a budget (though she requested I keep them under $100). They’re not as dark of blue (I was looking for navy) that I like but that’s okay…they don’t need to match anyone perfectly – do they?

Also they’re 3″, which is about an inch and a half taller than I wanted but I can always kick them off at the reception no?

They are my hearts desire. I think…

What do you think? Should i hold out for something more navy? Should I wait for a shorter heal? I love them, they’re beautiful but what if I see something…better? Hmmmm….indecisive. Very very indecisive.

    Aww, those ARE cute!!!

But, well, if the heel is a little too high and you initially didn’t want anything on the back.. blisters aren’t worth it. BUT THEY’RE SO CUTE!

It’s really quite up to you in the end. Good luck!

ooooh, seychelles are GREAT shoes. I’ve seriously had one pair for years–and I’m not a girl whose shoes hold up for years!–and they keep on truckin’, repair after repair. These are adorable. What are you waiting for, lady, snap them up! : )

Hmmm…I know I’m channeling my mom right now, but I’d be a little worried about the heel. But who am I kidding, I wear super tall heels all the time :)

They are fabulous! And they don’t have to match, they just have to go…and I think they would go beautifully with navy.

Can you return? If so, you can always buy them and if you find something better, you can return. But, it seems like your gut is telling you something here!!!

I like them – they’re unique and if they don’t work for you , you can always return them and start the search over…

Oh my goodness! Gorgeous! Love love LOVE! Get them. And make sure to break them in months before the nuptials so the blisters won’t happen.

And by break them in, I simply mean wear them about the house when no one else is there. :)

Get them! If you don’t you will spend from now until your wedding day thinking about them.

I won’t lie, I don’t love the shoes. But that’s my personal style. Also, since you’ll be in them for a long time on the day, I’d really try and find something you can try on in a store first to at least SEE if you think they MIGHT be comfortable. Also, you’re looking for navy? What are your colors?!

Those are absolutely gorgeous! Get them and carry a pair of flip flops with you to the reception so you can kick back.

Those are pretty awesome shoes! If they’re what you want, I’d go ahead and buy them, otherwise you might not find something better and then you’d regret it. :(
