Pink Saturday November 15

by Heidi on November 15, 2008

Happy Pink Saturday Everyone!

It’s a pretty miserable day here in the district with my email just notifying me with an email from the DC alert system that apparently there’s a tornado watch (!!!) – I know. Till 7pm. Yikes. I think i’ll stay INSIDE and work on wedding stuff.

As you may have gathered from my recent pink saturday posts the past…six? Saturdays have been…crazy for fiance and I. Alumni events, a marathon and pre-cana classes. This weekend? Our first Saturday to sleep in. Joy of all joys.

So today? Crappy weather wear. You heard me, I’m  a big fan of wellies, an even bigger fan because I can never seem to find a pair that FITS me – long ago (well..college) i had a pair then…my calves got huge. Not huge though they certainly felt that way when my wellies stopped fitting me.

Some of my favorite rainy day wear?

Hunter Wellies from Piperlime

Sperry Top Sider Wellies from Nordstrom $75

From Target (very close to my first pair that i had) $25

Where’s your favorite pair of rain boots from?? Are they pink??

Happy Pink Saturday. Good idea to stay safe, dry and warm inside. We had all of that rain and bad weather all day yesterday and all night.

    Gotta love Wellies. ;-)

Well I love those wellies, but have to admit I don’t own a pair of rain boots. I guess we don’t get enough rain here to worry about buying boots.

    Happy PS

Love the Top Siders, such a great plaid! It rarely rains in Bakersfield, so I actually wear sandals, clogs, and Harley boots year-round, with something a bit dressier when the occasion demands it. We travel a lot, so I’m always jealous of the cool rainboots I see in places like Portland, Vancouver BC, and London. In my teens and twenties, I was a ballerina, and I still have large calves, so buying knee-high boots is very difficult … I get all excited and try them on, but they rarely fit. And the lower/wider ones look awkward and silly, since they require tucking in my jeans … rats!

Please stop by my blog and pick up a free copy of my new cookbook, “Finish The Feast: Leftover Turkey They’ll Love To Eat!” It’s filled with yummy recipes and is suitable for printing and giving as a gift.

    Hugs,

    Victoria
