Autumny Goodness

I love Autumn. Generally speaking, i do. The briskness in the air. Not to mention, it’s the only time of year and the only thing associated with the word “crisp” think about it, where else have you hard that word, not associated with the seasonal changes that autumn brings about.

Well, this year, I came to the sad realization that I don’t really have an “autumny coat” I don’t know why not…I should. I don’t even own a North Face fleece (trust me, I want one.) and I’m from New England!

Well this weekend I’m going on an excursion to search for an autumny/wintery jacket.

What do you all think? Any other suggestions? Keep in mind I’m trying to spend less than $100 here.  I’m also on the prowl for a new pair of black flats to wear to work/weekends. My previous ones that i got in 2004 died recently but they fought the good fight and lasted a pretty long time considering they were $20 Delia’s ballet flats I bought during co-op #2 when I was walking to Fenway from Campus every day.

    I also need a good autumny coat….I have a few wool peacoats, though I’ll be needing a new one this year, as one is close to death. I also have springy coats, but nothing good for this time of year. Sometimes you need something to go over that turtleneck sweater….

    I just bought the green old navy coat a few weeks ago. It is soooo cute and I love wearing it! However, Katie (La Petite Chic) also ordered it a while back and returned it because she didn’t like the way it fit. You may want to actually try it on or be open to sending it back if you do order it.

    I have the green old navy coat in the blue of the first coat. I get oodles of compliments but it does kind of bubble out and is a WAY darker blue than looks online. But I think it’s super cute.

    I love the green Old Navy one. It’s super cute. Last year, I got a really cute autumn coat from Target. It’s like a brown wrap-around and I loveee it!

    Ooo, I love them all. Hard to decide. I have a green Old Navy coat similar to the first one that I bought last season that I love, but I’m already going to need to sew up a hole in it.

    I went to Ann Taylor Loft in old town today and fell in love with way too many of their coats. Too bad I just can’t afford any of them. I have a long black pea coat from there that I got last year that I love. It just makes me feel like I look amazing no matter what I have on underneath.

    I want that long green Old Navy coat with such a passion. but I can’t fathom spending $90 on it so I guess it will have to wait until it goes on sale…you know when you don’t actually need a coat anymore.

    Also, did you know it comes in a gorgeous shade of pink as well?

    The green old navy one. For sure. :) My roommate has a similar one from ON in white, and it’s marvelous. She gets a compliment each time she wears it.

    I had a problem with autumn/winter coat envy before I read this post. Now I find myself wanting more; the newer, cuter model even though the coats in my closet are fine. They’re FINE.

    I love all those jackets, and now you are making me want a new one, despite the fact that I have plenty of Autumn jackets (and… umm… not so many real winter ones…)
