In the mean time, I have an AWESOME wedding wednesday post brewing – if you’ve seen my latest DC Nearlywed‘s post about DIY then you can probably guess what it is. Let’s just say I’ve been building a nice relationship with MS Publisher. I know the Wedding Wednesdays have fallen a bit by the wayside but they’ll be coming back. I have a couple DIY projects I’m doing, and of course the options of Bridesmaids dresses. I’m hopefully going to make a trip to Georgetown in the next couple weeks to check out a few of the options at a couple salons and hopefully narrow it down. So I’ll definitely keep you guys up to date on that progress :)

Finally, tonight I’m going to go mingle with DC’s finest bloggers and media mavens at this party:

I’m excited to meet some of my favorite DC bloggers there – expect pictures over on the Tumblr. I don’t think Fiancé and I will stay all night but I definitely want to mingle and network. If you’re going to be at the party let’s meet up! I’ll be in the Navy J Crew Adelaide dress!

P.S. Who saw How I Met Your Mother last night? Am the only one who was bawling her eyes out at the end?? ZOMG!!!

    I love you to death and fear for your sanity. Speaking from experience (DIY Save the Dates, programs, candy bar, welcome bags for out of town guests, centerpieces, invitations, favors, guest book (and the list goes on)… and my mom made my gown…)

    I practically did everything DIY and thought I would shoot myself by the end–saving time and money does not always happen with DIY unless you have a super dooper small wedding (which we didn’t). It’s a beautiful product and thoughtful..but make sure you have the time and start early!

    Aw man! That party sounds amazing and I’m almost in DC tonight, too. (I’m in Rockville.)

    I love HIMYM. I kinda figured Ted & Stella wouldn’t end up together, but the circumstances surrounding their non-union were unexpected. My favorite part was all the vegan bashing. “You need more protein.”
