Pink Saturday week 7

by Heidi on August 23, 2008

This week I’m featuring my newly retired sneaks. You see these sneakers, the nike air pegasus+ got me through my first marathon. Those shoes – even though they were the wrong type for my feet, ran over 200 miles through training, and of course the race.

However, with a new race, comes new sneaks. This year? I switched to Brooks sneakers, they’re not pink, nor are they Nike+ Compatible. However, they are good to my feet and my knees.

Pink sneakers…how I loved you. RIP. (they’ll still be used for weight training days though so they’re not on full retirement ;) )

I heard you can run faster in a marathon when your shoes are “pink”!

Those shoes are cute! It’s great that your honoring your old runs since they served you well with the marathon. Hopefully your next pair will do the same! :-)

Hey, I’m not sure what it’s called, but I know there’s something you can get now to make your Nike+ compatible with any brand of shoe. They have it at the running store I go to. I don’t use the Nike+ so I never pay much attention to it all, but I know such a thing exists if you want it.
