Now that I’ll have uber time on my hands after Saturday at 2pm, I plan on getting down to business with this wedding planning schtuff.
Mainly, making a to do list -
By the end of September, I want to have it narrowed down to THREE
*photographers
*florists
*cake bakers
I think that’s reasonable.
Also by the end of September hopefully I’ll have my bridesmaids dresses picked out, and my own gown picked out. I need to do some research on flowers (I think I have an idea but really, I have no idea) – early September feels like it’s in a limbo state. It’s not summer anymore because it’s after labor day but it’s not quite fall because well, it’s not. But we think it is because by then everyone is back to school, it becomes the off season at beaches and resorts, and somehow? We trick ourselves into thinking that those still toasty early days of September are fall. They’re not. Or are they? So that’s my problem. Can i use summery colors? Should i pick a darker green? What flowers will be in season? Do zinnia’s look good with gerbera daisies? What about hydrangeas? Omgomgomgomg.
So many questions. So much research to be done.
We’re still 13 1/2 months out but from what I read on all the wedding blogs and you fabu bloggers getting hitched – is that 13 months might seem like a long time? But really…not so much. Which scares the bejebus out of me.
I should also note that because of our crazy last month (well July which is almost over. Thank goodness.) fiancé and I still haven’t gone through our 100 engagement photos and picked out the ones we want. *sigh*
So i feel a little behind. Everyone will tell me I’m not but those wedding books I got a month ago? Have been placed on a bookshelf (off of my dresser where they were creating clutter) out of vision so I’m losing my reminders that I need to plan a wedding. I mean, looking at my beautiful diamond is great but that’s not the point. If planning only involved staring at my pretty ring, wearing a pretty dress and getting my nails done every two weeks I’d be golden! Unfortunately for moi, that is not the case…c’est la vie?
Anyhow, sorry this weeks “wedding wednesday” is so lame.
