Doing it my own way

by Heidi on July 24, 2008

Instead of a wordless wednesday? I’m doing a wordless Thursday. I woke up this morning sick as a dog, with a pounding sinus headache, and being unable to breathe through my nose. Needless to say I’m not much in the mood for writing…

I think I’ll hand duties over to Ellie. She likes to read news and stuff. And of course play on facebook.

Girl, I have been there. I went to see 2 different doctors over the past 6 weeks. I found out mine was never sinuses…. just really bad allergies. The doc said that here in TN, summer allergies are worse than ever before. I took a week of Sudafed and Mucinex to break it all up along with Claritin, and after the first week switched to just doing Claritin and will keep taking it all summer. I’m still having to blow my nose more than a normal person, but I’m feeling MUCH better.

Which is good, since I’ll be in DC in less than 12 hours. :) I know you’re not feeling well so if it doesn’t work out to get together that’s totally understandable, but I’ll still touch base with you tomorrow about it and see if you feel up to joining us for dinner or even lunch or dinner sunday. :)

Yesterday I thought I was going to die. I’ve always had allergies but yesterday the pressure was so bad, I knew it wasn’t. Awful horrible stupid sinuses. Today I woke up with a sore throat too.

Blah!

I hope you feel better and Ellie takes good care of you!

As someone who gets sick (seemingly) a lot- I recently discovered Afrin Nasal Spray. At first I thought it was weird- the whole idea of spraying something up your nose, but I SWEAR it works wonders. I was instantly breathing better than I have ever breathed before. It says not to use more than 3 days, but I used it once a day for 5 days (1spray each day) and it was awesome. I’d say give it a try. *Idk if you can use it with other meds though.

Hope that helps!
