I get a little bit depressed every time summer rolls around. I just want to revert back to working at summer camp and having whole weeks off and lazing by the pool. But you’re right, we’ve got to enjoy what we can get now.

I’m not going to lie….one of the reasons I wanted to work in schools was so I could have summers off. I am so NOT cut out for year round employment

I literally choked on my lunch at the end of last summer when my boss said something like, “so, you’ve worked one summer … only about 45 more until you retire.” What a bleak outlook. — I have had ongoing issues with the ‘end’ of the summer vacations that I so eagerly looked forward to. All you can do is make the best of it … for me, I ditch work early every chance I get
