If only….

by Heidi on June 25, 2008

….I had had had more $$ to game the system at Ann Taylor Loft…I returned a shirt, bought two and had a $25 gift card. Total money spent? $5. Roughly. The trick? Bought the shirts first – $57 sans $25 for the card. Then? Returned the other shirt. For $27. $31 i paid minus the $27 I got back? Roughly $4-5. If anyone at the Ann Taylor corporate store reads this…i just did what the associate told me was best :)   I got these:
and

I might swap out my other pink sweater for the pink halter top that I just bought but it all depends on the weather this weekend in Boston. I pray…pray pray prrrrrrrrray it doesn’t rain. *sigh* Thoughts?

Anyhow, Happy hump day to y’all.

P.S. How do you go about NOT smudging your damned manicure within five minutes of walking out of the salon. I did it again. Ten minutes? Two nails smudged. Perhaps I’m just not a manicure type of gal.

P.P.S. some girl asked me last night if I was an associate at Ann Taylor. I was standing in front of a dressing room, putting a shirt that didn’t fit me back on the hanger, while wearing a shirt, standing in front of a room with my clothes in it. Open door. I said “do I look like i work here?” Kind of bitchily, i take offense to things like that, but she stuttered and said “well…you’re wearing the clothes.”

With tags on bia. With tags. On. *sigh* frustrating.

1. The shirts are adorable.
2. Don’t leave the nail salon! Seriously – I stay at least half an hour after they finish my polish and keep them under the heat/light. And I spray them up with that instant nail dryer stuff. If I somehow manage to smudge them, at least I’m already in the salon where they can fix them for me!
3. I would have said the same thing to that girl. Bitchy, maybe. Warranted, definitely.

Cute shirts! I always smudge my manicures as well. I’ve only gotten them twice because of that.

It’s impossible to leave without smudging. It’s a fact of nature. I think it has to do with the whole jar of nail polish they put on each nail :)

I LOOOOVE the green shirt! I may so have to go out and get that. Just letting you know. It is absolutely fab.

I smudge my manicures like it is my job. So frustrating!

Well at least you were at an ATL store and not a gas station or a strip club when she asked you ;)

I was once asked if I was an associate while browsing JCPenney’s. The kicker? I WAS 14. What the hell kind of department store hires 14 year olds?? And I wasn’t even a MATURE 14. I was twiggy, flat, pimple-y, and had scraggly hair that I didn’t know what to do with. Crazy lady.

Ooooh way to work the system! :) Those are too cute. I knew there was a reason I’ve been staying away from the Loft… must. continue. to. resist.
