It’s okay… (part 2!)

by Heidi on June 4, 2008

…to have your wedding almost all planned out before you’re engaged when you know the engagement is quite possibly just around the corner. Why not, right?

…to feel bad about friendships gone awry after looking at pictures from the past

…to sleep in instead of going for a run at 6:30am

…to drink OJ out of the container when no one is looking

…to make plans with your pals on a saturday night instead of hanging out with boyfriend and his pals

…to not feel bad about not wanting to be around his pals

…to go to events for the free food even though you’re no longer an intern

…to search for the nice girl you met at said event on facebook even though you didn’t share contact info (what?! She seemed nice and i’d love to hang out with her again!)

…to eat the brownie before the sandwhich. Who says certain foods need to be eaten in certain order??

…to remember certain people during certain songs even if you don’t really talk to them anymore

…to put work off till later in the day because you know it won’t take you long to do.

I could not agree more. Sometimes, it just feels to good to put things off. They’ll happen eventually :)

Engagement around the corner? That’s when you wake up at 5:30am. It’s called Bridal boot camp!!! Relax now before it gets all crazy.

It’s totally okay for all of those!

I say it’s fine! (Also, I always eat the batter first, even if it’s before dinner. Or breakfast. The batter is delicious!)

Glad someone else thinks these things are okay too. I definitely do most of these things. But sometimes I eat the brownie instead of the sandwich. Probably not okay.

If you are going to get married within a year of your engagement, then it’s silly NOT to start planning ahead of time! There is soooooo much to do, you’ll be grateful you jumped the gun a little ;)

Oh my you have no idea how much I agree with all of that!!! Especially the first one… :P

Amen to pretty much all of those! I am constantly reminded of people I don’t see anymore through songs. And I firmly believe in eating dessert first.

yes, yes, yes! Especially to those related to food. Brownies? check. Going to events and receptions for the food? (cough, ahem, etc) check. Very check. Something about “catered lunch” still translates in my mind to ooooh, crucial for work. Must pen it in.

All of that is totally ok, you’re right :)

all of those are definitely ok in my book. especially eating the brownie first.

and it’s ok to have two date nights in a row, right? (with different people) ;)

yes- it is ALWAYS okay to facebook people. In fact… i’m kind of the queen of “early facebook friending.”

My 24-year old assistant is constantly coaching me in Facebook friending. Apparently, I am far too timid!
