My bridesmaids and olf prom dresses sit in a closet at my parents house. I should look into donating them. One of my cousins (who is graduating high school in June) has borrowed some in the past for dances and such, but other than that...they are collecting dust.

For my wedding (T minus 38 days) I picked a dress color (fresh aloe), fabric (umm I don't even remember what it is),and length (tea) from J Crew and then let the girls choose the style that would look best on them. Hopefully this way they can wear them again!

My friends got together and had a Prom/Wedding Hotel Bar Crawl so we could finally use those bridesmaids/prom dresses we could never really wear again. It was a lot of fun and good use for the dresses, even if it's just to wear them once more.

My bridesmaid dresses have gone to the high school prom dress organizations. I've been a bridesmaid twice and neither dress was really my style, so I was fine with letting them go!

I say go all "27 Dresses" and make the bridezillas wear the dresses at your wedding. Barring that, I think donating them to an organization who passes them on to girls to wear to prom is a fabulous idea.

Nice guest entry!

Welcome to the world of blogging!

When I chose my bridesmaid dresses for my wedding last September, I had my girls in mind. I wanted them to look nice and also be able to wear them again. I chose a sage green (must be a popular choice!) tea length dress. I hope they are able to wear them - maybe dye them black or something?

You could always donate that dress you hate (especially since you no longer are friends with the bride). I know there are organizations that collect dresses so girls less fortunate can go to prom and there are even some that accept wedding dresses...I'm all about recycling. Unfortunately I don't have a link to some of these but a simple google search should find them.

Good luck with your dresses! And good luck blogging!
