Decisions….

by Heidi on May 8, 2008

After a chat last night, I decided I want to run a marathon again.

Today? I checked up on the Marine Corps website. It’s closed.

Hmmm…

I think? I’m going to train for and run the Rock and Roll half (maybe full?) in Virginia Beach.

But before my 26th? I want to run a full marathon. Anyone got any suggestions for marathons in late 2008 (Sept-November)?

Again, me deciding to run a marathon is a random, spontaneous decision. Should probably get new sneakers and a knee brace so I don’t hurt it again…I mean…it was strained ligaments so I might get them checked out again but me?

I’m totally doing Marathon number 2 within the year! *

And this year? I’m beating my time of 7:00:00…goal time? 5:30:00.

*this may or may not mean that I won’t do the triathlon.

Best of luck with the training and with the future marathon! I wish I had your motivation! :)

Have you seen your rebate check yet?! I’m so frustrated. Mine should be here by tomorrow, but there’s no sign of it. I wonder if I messed up and will get a paper check .. in like .. 2010. :P

The Marine Corps Marathon is already closed? Isn’t it not until October? Wow!

Wow! That is a mighty big goal. Running 26.2 miles scares the shit out of me :)

Good luck! I’ve always wanted to run a full marathon but always chicken out. When I lived in NY, I trained for the NYC Marathon and then chickened out at the last moment because my “knee injury” My own personal cop out.

Thats awesome – I wish I had the motivation and endurance to do so. I lack in that area maybe one day!

How about Vegas? My very good friend invited me to do the half, but it’s during finals so I can’t. It’s supposed to be a lot of fun.

Good for you! I’m training for a half marathon, but it really hasn’t been going very well.

Marathons my friends have done in that time frame are the Chicago marathon (very flat) and the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon. THey are both in October and the weather is really nice.
