First of all, Happy belated Administrative Assistant’s Day to me…i think it was actually yesterday but since iI found out about it at like..7pm I didn’t get to celebrate so mine? Is today. After all, my official title is “administrative assistant” so I think i deserve a lil sumthin’ sumthin’. Mayhaps lunch? On the office? Harrumph. We’ll see. They still owe me a birthday lunch…[edit...it's actually April 23rd according to wiki...so they haven't missed it yet!]
Secondly…still no word from UPS. Now…let me play out the cycle of my jacket. Because it was one stupid mistake that caused this whole fiasco anyhow.
1. Order Jacket and sweater (see here) Officially ordered sweater and jacket on April 7th. I did not click to have them delivered together, therefore they were delivered separately. D’oh!
2. Jacket and Sweater shipped SEPARATELY on April 8th.
3. Receive sweater via USPS on April 11th.
4. Jacket out for Delivery via UPS website: April 15th.
5. No package in sight. No UPS slip in sight. Wtf. Call target, inform them of misdelivery. Call UPS. Bitch out. Was delivered to 608 21st Street NE
6. Target sends duplicate jacket out via 2nd day air on April 18th.
7. Out for delivery on April 21st via UPS tracking. Call UPS to ensure that it is delivered to right address. They have 608 21st St NE AGAIN. Promise to deliver correctly. “You should hear from us by 1030 tomorrow AM.”
I mean really? They couldn’t even get the QUADRANT right. The thing that effed them up is that we live in a 1/2 apartment…the downstairs. Not really that hard to figure out. But seriously? Some lucky bastard in NE is likely going to get not ONE but TWO pretty green floral trench coats from target. They probably don’t have the decency to freakin’ return it to UPS saying it was misdelivered either. Fuckers.
It is now…1031. No word from the UPS. I’m livid. I just want my pretty pretty jacket.
Watch me get it…and it not fit. Then? I’ll really be pissed.
Update: just spoke with UPS…it’s set to deliver at my house sometime today. They better leave it in our doorway…since they left the last mother fucking package on the front steps of the house in NE they can leave it in our hidden doorway in SE. Grrrrrrr so ANGRY!
I seriously have a hard time dealing with incompetent people. In the office or on the phone or on the train … very. low. tolerance. That coat had better appear!
You should make your office take you out, no joke. And, if you go to bailey’s on the lovely crystal drive, today is $2 pint day, all day long. Now there’s something to smile about
I’ve had the same problem with UPS/FEDEX/DHL, so now I always have things shipped to my office. It is way easier. Could you maybe do that?
I got ZERO recognition for Administrative Assistant Day. NONE. It’s cool. They must have forgot. I’ve only been here for 14 months. It’s cool.

I had a similar problem happen with UPS before Christmas… Tracking said the package was delivered. Never got it. And the item was out of stock so it couldn’t be re-sent. Such a pain.
