Those songs…

by Heidi on April 14, 2008

Springy songs. Oh my god I have so many. I have memories of spring time, like the songs that Norbs and I used to dance to at Our House East, the songs that bring me back to spring times in Vermont driving down open and curvy roads that just made me feel so free as I sped along with the windows down, the songs that bring me back to all the many spring time breakups with the ex, the songs that remind me of my strength that always came about during spring time, or the parties shortly after my 21st. In short? I freakin’ love spring time – not just because it’s my birthday although that is, not gonna lie, a huge reason. But because it’s just an awesome time of year. The time of year where you’re not freezing your ass off and when you’re not so hot you want to die. It’s just…spring. It’s even a happy word to say. So here. Is my spring CD swap.

woo! Yay spring mixes – go to Truth Bombs to check out her list and other participants! I’m excited. Though unfortunately,

1. I’m not smart enough to know how to upload a zip file. Or make one for that matter. I could upload one if I knew how to make it.

2. my computer is slow. I was downloading the one from Deutlich but freakin’ I closed the download dialog box when it was like 60% done and had to start over. damnit damnit damnit. *sigh* I’m at 26%. Fucking hell.

Also, got my beautiful flowers from my pal J and her fiance, I’ll post a picture later. I’m feeling lazy right now. But they’re flowers, a teddy bear and a box of chocolates with the bear holding the balloon. I have. The greatest. Friends ever.

Enjoy the mix and to be lame…THING SPRING :) Especially you jerk-offs in Boston. I only call you jerk offs because the Socks beat my boys. On my birthday. Harrrumph. Don’t rub it in…be gentle. It’s still my birthday bitches.

Fabulous play list!!! I saw Jan Arden last summer when she was on tour with Michael Buble. Had NO idea she was still around, but she was a great performer. I loveee that song.

Sorry the Sox are rocking it :) :) :)

Love love love Imogen Heap, and particularly Goodnight and Go. It always makes me think of a guy that I wish hadn’t been so funny or cute because then I wouldn’t have liked him and been all disappointed when things didn’t work out. Haha, now that I think about it, it could probably remind me of more than one guy in my life. Happy spring! Also, I’m so totally going to Boston in june, too! Except I’m going for a graduation.
