The answers…

So thanks to all your fabulous advice – I’m sure boyfriend and I will be discussing the options in the coming days/weeks :)

If you haven’t asked a question, and you’d still like to? Go here!

Maxie asked “I know you’re not very happy there right now… but what is your favorite thing about DC? and what’s your favorite restaurant there?”

My favorite thing, is probably the glow of the sunset radiating off the Capitol Rotunda and looking out on the mall to a nice sunset. It’s a breathtaking moment if you’re standing on the West lawn, the steps that over look the Monument and you just see this beautiful landscape with a sunset, the monument knowing that you’re standing at the center of the world. It’s amazing. My favorite restaurant? Las Placitas, it’s a small Mexican/El Salvadorean restaurant on 8th Street that has amazing amazing food. It helps that the margaritas are to die for also ;)

Kenzie asked “What is your absolutely favorite thing you’ve ever bought?”

Ufff. Tough one. Probably my steve madden shoes. As for which pair – I can’t possibly choose just one! Either my green ones, or my brown slouch boots that I got for $50 marked down from $200.

Maria asked “what color is your hair now that you’ve dyed it x times? what is the best thing about living in DC?”

Well….it’s a dark shade of blonde. I started dying my hair with sun-in the summer before eighth grade. I thought i was soooo cool. Yeah not so much. I dyed it a few times in high school but most significantly I dyed it dark auburn freshman year of college and then back to blonde a few months after it grew out. My hair has been auburn, strawberry blonde (my favorite i think), dirty blonde and dark blonde. Naturally, I’m a blonde but I’ve dyed it dark about 3 too many times so you’d never know :( My favorite thing about DC? Hmmm…spring time in DC. When it’s not too hot, when the cherry blossoms have bloomed and when the sun stays out till seven-eight o’clock at night. When you can walk down to the mall and see the capitol all majestic looking, when you can run along the mall and not worry about being mugged. Those are a few of my favorite things. Also the fact that there’s always always ALWAYS something new to see. The FDR memorial, the museum in the basement of the Jefferson Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the Einstein statue, there’s sooo many hidden treasures in this city :)

I’ll answer round two later :)
For now I have some work to do before a 3pm conference call. Guh my head hurts :(

DC in the springtime is amazing! I’m jealous you get to live there. (Columbus is not so cool.) And all the free museums!! I think I would go every weekend.
