Two months till go time

by Heidi on February 18, 2008

So as you may or may not know, my 25th birthday is in a little less than 2 months.

I thought I knew what I wanted to do, but I don’t know. I want it to be big. I know that.

Now today, on our way to U23D at the Smithsonian, I thought HEY! We could go to NYC and see a Yankees game! Except…upon looking at the schedule, the Yanks will be in Boston and getting tickets to that…may be next to impossible. However! The weekend after, they’re playing in Baltimore! A little more doable, and we could go up and spend the day in Baltimore and get a hotel, and see the game. But the possibility…of spending my 25th birthday back in Boston with the old gang…but man oh man…the OPTIONS!!!!

So what should I go for?

1. Try to get tickets for the Yanks @ BoSocks game but not really be able to go with friends, but be able to have the after party with all my great favorites.

2. Scrap the Boston game, celebrate here in the DC sans my favorites, but go to see the Yanks at Camden Yards in B’more and spend the night and drink up. Lots.

3. Scrap both those and go up to NYC for the weekend, we’d get to see boyfriend’s family (though I’m not so sure they’re going to want to see me once they find out we’re *staying* together), but party in NYC…which would be aweeeesssooommeeee.

Thoughts? Suggestions? I want a freakin’ slammin’ party. I want all my favorite pals to be there. I want to ring in my quarterlife crisis officially with style and lots of alcohol.

Anyhow…

U23D was AWESOME!  I’m so glad boyfriend and I got to see it *Finally* and after enjoyed a beer and burgers at Tune Inn on Penn. Such a great Dive Bar/Diner I love that place. Not to mention, I would rate their burgers among the best on the hill…and did I mention…hush puppies???!!!

Gah, there’s much more that I want to write about but…can’t. Can’t, can’t can’t. Hopefully, there will be celebrating soon. Let’s just leave it at that. I’ll write more when I know more.

Hehe. I vote for trying for tickets at Fenway, but agree that it will be next to impossible. I saw a game at Camden Yards a few years ago and it was a lot of fun, the park is great. :)

Okay, first of all, I am wildly curious about the end of this post. Second of all, I went to a Bosox-Orioles game for my birthday once, and while it was fun, it wasn’t exactly a giant, fabulous party. I would say go see your team some other time and make sure to be in a fun city with friends for your birthday.

I vote for Yankees at Camden. You’d be able to get pretty decent seats and they aren’t impossibly expensive like at Fenway!

I’d go to NYC because I have never been there! Also, I’m incredibly curious about the last part of this post!

I say do the one that’ll be most fun and you can have the most of your friends and bf with you. 25 is a kick ass year…or so I have heard. :)

I like Yankees / Camden Yards myself, you baby!

come to NYC because you can have a ridiculous party on the cheap. my 25th was INSANE. it was the gold standard of all my parties. and you can see a yankee game on another day. besides, you HAVE to see a game at the home stadium before they tear it down!
