We won’t talk about the disaster that was last night. We won’t talk about how Harvard is making their first appearance in the Beanpot finals because my boys dropped the ball BIG TIME.
I wanted to go to Denver for my 25th. The NCAA Frozen Four is being held there the weekend of my 25th birthday in April, nothing would have made me happier than to go to see my boys play their first tournament appearance since the early 90′s.
But alas, since January they’ve gone down the crapper. It started with a loss to Merrimack just before the split with UVM. By split i mean a tie and a loss. Then it was two losses versus Providence. Then a win v. UMass…2-4-1 in the past seven.
Not good.
Not good at all.
I mean not only were they just playing bad hockey but it led me to believe this young team of “stars” as they’ve been called – is likely to crack under pressure. This makes me worry about the Hockey East tourney in March, and if we even get a bid for the NCAA tournament because in a matter of 3 weeks we’ve slipped from 7, to 9, to 11 to 14. Weak Huskies…weak.
So as I am so accustomed to saying after the first Monday in February…
