Anti-Best Buy Brigade..part 3

So i got a call yesterday. I forgot to mention this earlier and given that this is the saga that has made my blog famous i figured my fabulous readers were due for an update.

My hard drive is back from Best Buy Never Never Land. Granted, it’s at the store and i won’t have time to pick it up till Saturday sometime, but it’s there. I don’t even want to know if their policy held true with my beloved hard drive that might i add (again) holds the only copy of my operating system. I don’t know if they drilled a hole through it, i don’t know how inoperable or operable it is. I just know it’s here.

They called me to tell me it was in the store awaiting my pick up.

Now, had i not been on Capitol Hill on the Senate side yesterday afternoon for a PATENT REFORM hearing (which is quite possibly the most UNSEXY topic EVER), i would have sprinted – like think race pace – to Best Buy in Pentagon City and be like YO BIAS GIVE ME MY SHIZZLE BACK YO!!!

Unfortunately, i don’t think that type of reaction would have gotten any of my much needed attention. This situation is far from solved however, saturday i will have boyfriend there to keep me from throwing printers at their heads, and to help me negotiate them putting my harddrive info/OS back onto the new hard drive for Zero Cost which is going to be a hard thing to negotionate but doable, i think.

So all in all, the situation is slowly on the rise. I still plan on writing a “strongly worded” letter up the corporate chain (and I’ll CC the president. Boyfriend’s dad and I joked about that the last time we were in CT…) just to let them know…in short that their customer service in essence….sucks. a lot.

But that kind of made me smile. A lot of things have been making me smile. Training for the marathon – aside from the 2 mile walk saturday, is done. The marathon is in 3 days. My happy lil Lappy should be functional by next week, and life is just…good. yay!
