It’s funny; I went to the Best Buy in Tenleytown and had the complete opposite experience. They didn’t have the flat screen that I wanted, but actually went way out of their way to help me find something comparable; in the end they gave me an “open box” tv that was way more expensive than the one I’d originally wanted for only $60 more, with a full warranty.
I guess it just depends on which store you go to and who you happen to run in to.
